Great atmosphere, there were people all around the route, even down the lanes! Lots of local support which gave me the extra boost when I really wanted to give up an go home. Very well organised with loads of bits to look at in the mini market at the end. Definitely one to try again

Chip timing is out, spoke to a few people who said timings were out mine is at least a minute out

There were a few near-misses with cars, particularly on some narrower lanes and on Staple grove road. I blame the drivers for even attempting to drive along those roads but maybe additional security/marshaling around some pinch points could help, or temporary one-way closure or traffic control?

Traffic through the lanes needed to be managed a little better, gridlocked for the drivers and weaving in and out of vehicles isn’t ideal for a runner. Otherwise I had a fantastic run. Thank you

Bishops hull needs to have closed roads. It was very dangerous with all the cars. The support in that village was huge, which also didn't help with car drivers.

Moving the start/finish to the centre and the slight change in course was a great improvement. Timing it with the market really made it feel like a whole town event. The only issue on course ,despite the Marshall best efforts, was the incline into bishops hull where the narrow street and the traffic being unhelpful was a pain.

This was a really well organised event, the race village was lovely with lots going on, well organised registration/number collection. Fabulous atmosphere throughout the entire race, the support out on the course was amazing. Especially loved the band on the last stretch before the finish. And the lovely BIG metal medal at the end is one of the nicest I’ve received.

Only slight criticism would be the organisation of the start funnel felt a little chaotic. I think a lot of people ended up starting further forwards than they would have liked as they couldn’t get to where they wanted to be in the funnel. I think the pacers also found it hard to start in the right place.

Timing wise, I was surprised the chip timing started when the race started rather than when you pass the start line. It meant that if you started further back and it took a while to get through the start arch, your time was already running so not really a true reflection of race time.

Overall though, this was the most well organised half marathon I’ve ever done, coupled with a great course. It most definitely beats The Great West Run! Thank you to all the organisers and Marshalls out on the course!

Loved the new route. Finishing in town with all the support there was just fantastic. Well done Dan, Alex and Dave, you absolutely nailed it. I'll definitely be back next year.

Traffic was a bit hairy where two cars were trying to pass on the country roads, otherwise really enjoyed. Nice t shirt and nice medal.
